From April 13 to 17, the XV Staff Training Week took place in the city of Malaga (Kingdom of Spain), bringing together more than 50 representatives from universities across 25 countries worldwide.
At the event, Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was represented by PhD (Engineering), Associate Professor of Department of Chemical Engineering and Oil Refining Industry Oleksandr Seminskyi.
Throughout the week, a combination of presentations, workshops, and training sessions enabled participants to discuss current issues and exchange experience in the implementation of Erasmus+ programmes (KA131, KA171) and TransfrontEU to enhance the internationalisation of universities in European Union countries as well as beyond the EU, particularly within the framework of European integration processes.
The infrastructure of the University of Malaga was presented as an example of a dynamically developing European university. Case studies were explored on university activities in the areas of international cooperation, partnership development in both academic and business environments, administrative management, stakeholder engagement, and graduate employment.
An important part of the event was the reception at the City Hall, where the Mayor, Mr. Francisco de la Torre, emphasised the importance of universities as a key component of regional development and, using Malaga as an example, highlighted how constructive cooperation between the university and the city administration contributes to growth and prosperity.
