International scientific cooperation within the framework of the conference Science and Industry – Challenges and Opportunities 2026

As part of our participation in the international scientific and practical conference Science and Industry – Challenges and Opportunities 2026, which took place on July 23–25, 2026, in Lublin (Poland), Olena Ivanenko, Acting Dean of the Faculty of Automation, Industrial Engineering and Ecology, and Vita Galish, head of the Department of Ecology and Technology of Plant Polymers at the invitation of prof., dr. Beata Podkościelna visited the Department of Polymer Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry of the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University (UMCS). During the meeting, the participants discussed current trends in scientific research and educational activities and exchanged experiences regarding the organization of the educational process and the implementation of research projects. As part of an international research project BIOSORBWATECH «Development of Sustainable Technologies for Water and Wastewater Treatment Using Biosorbents», implemented with the support of Swedish Institute as part of the program Baltic Sea Neighbourhood Programme (№ 00237/2025), an exchange of samples of sorbent and filter materials took place.
